High Vacuum, Model MAHVM, Magnetic-coupled Manipulator with Linear and Rotary Motion
The Model MAHVM is a single-shaft magnetically-coupled manipulator for basic transfer in high-vacuum applications. The MAHVM has linear motion and 360ƒ rotation.
The magnet carriage of the Model MAHVM slides along the outer tube on polymeric bushings (outside of vacuum) providing a slight amount of stiction. The linear shaft is supported with a teflonTM sleeve.
All units are manufactured to customer specified travel lengths and shafts can be customized with holes, flats, etc. for unique applications. PMMs can be operated manually or combined with motorized drive assemblies.
