August 25, 2000 Transfer Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. acquires Vacuum Products Group from Surface/Interface
Company develops quality unique alternatives to meet specific customer needs while maintaining standard HV and UHV components, loadlocks and sample transfer systems.
Fremont, Calif., August 25, 2000 - Fremont, Calif., Transfer Engineering and Manufacturing (TEAM) announces the purchase of all rights and technologies to the vacuum equipment product line from Surface/Interface, Inc (S/II). A smooth transition has been completed with the new vacuum manufacturing facility fully operational. TEAM provides custom and standard sample transfer systems to surface science, semiconductor, media, sputter deposition and R&D markets. TEAM is owned and operated by former employees of the S/II Vacuum Products Group. Co-owner, Michael Ackeret brings eleven years of technical experience in the development of vacuum products most recently serving as S/II VPG Product and Manufacturing Manager. Co-owner, Jorge Kaminsky has 20 years in manufacturing management and was Vice-President of Operations at S/II.
Through the concentrated focus on vacuum and UHV-related products and increased market awareness of Transfer Engineerings' products and capabilities, the line of vacuum products is expanding to provide quality, unique and practical solutions to meet specific customers' applications.
Transfer Engineering and Manufacturing (TEAM), Fremont, California provides innovative products for OEM, Production Facility and R&D/University Lab customers in the Surface Science, Semiconductor, Media, Sputter Deposition and R&D markets. TEAMs core expertise is in the handling, transporting, positioning and manipulation of samples, semiconductor wafers, substrates, flat panels and other materials with precision and reliability in UHV, HV, and other challenging controlled environments.
